Hot Pools and Crew Dinner

Day 9: Hot Springs and Crew Dinner

Today we decided to explore the Great Barrier Island, hiring a van and driving up to some beautiful hot springs. The crew enjoyed a good soak in the hot water & exploring the different temperatures through the numerous pools.

After a good relax, we stretched our legs for a bit of a hike up to a spectacular lookout, overseeing the coast on both sides of the island, including the bay with good old TK serenely sitting at anchor.

Followed by a lovely dinner at an Irish Pub in Tryphena (where we all highly recommend the Snapper!).

We made our way back to TK, for another stunning sunset and a check on the anchor… you know you are secure on the anchor when you have a ‘Prawn Anchor’.

The evening wouldn’t be complete without a game of cards and a great laugh.
