A Whale of a Time heading back to the Marina!

Day 10: A Whale of a Time heading back!

Today we awoke to a dead calm conditions… the water was like glass & Ablert enjoyed a spectacular final padle, exploring the bay in perfect kayaking conditions.

As we motored out of Midlands beach, a little sad to be heading back to the marina we were greeted by a Pod of Pilot Whales. We killed the engines and enjoyed an hour of watching whales play, showing off their tail flukes & calmly spouting close by TK.

After having a whale of a morning, we motored until we found some wind hiding around the island & could get the sails up to get a smooth 5 knots sailing for a couple of hours… until the wind disapeared again.

For our last day at sea, while there isn’t much wind, the seas are lovely and calm, the sun is shining & we have had a wonderful 10 days out exploring.

Big thanks from the ‘Crew’ to Skipper Jason & First Mate Craig for making this such a great adventure!
