All That The Sun Touches
We set off for parts unknown, to sit upon a stony throne.
After such a sweet taste of Magnetic Island yesterday, we poured over the tourist booklet to plan the next day's adventure.
There were many tasks for the crew to work through, so Phil dropped us off in the dinghy on the early shift at Horseshoe Bay. We thought we would risk trying to catch the bus and were rewarded with a friendly driver.
Kingsley, Sally, Steve and Barb jumped off at the Forts Junction but went the opposite way to try their luck on the Acadia Walk Track.
Though not seeing any Drop Bears (koala) they were well rewarded with stunning views over the Bay. Steve recited his magpie poem after hearing the Currawongs in the distance.
Steve and Kingsley also took a little rest and surveyed 'all that the sun touches' from the amazing stone throne.
After Kingsley scouted ahead a conference was held to decide which way to go back. As it looked six one half dozen the other by our map we decided to press on and go the whole way around the track. Turned out it was more like six one, twenty four the other and longer than expected. All was fine and they were well met by some Silver Fern Crew.
A taxi was caught back to Horeshoe Bay just in time to join everyone for Tapas before returning to Salt Lines to help stow the dinghy, which we managed to get totally back in the bag 'like a bought one'.
Tune in tomorrow to hear about our final passage for Leg 1!
